A Beautiful Winter Boston Wedding
Last Friday, Broadway Gourmet had the privilege of catering our first wedding of the year. We are so happy for newlyweds Meghan and Matt. From the wedding design, food presentation, to the delicious dessert table – no detail was left untouched. With the help of our “Boston A-List” winning wedding design team, Meghan and Matt had the wedding of their dreams.
Menu
The bride and groom wanted to keep the menu traditional, but with a modern twist. Their selections were fantastic. The wedding menu included:
Butternut Squash Soup Shooters with Crispy Prosciutto and Crème Fraiche
Arancini with Tangy Marinara Sauce
Fresh Mixed Greens with Figs, Toasted Pecans and Goat Cheese
Herbed Rubbed Beef Tenderloin with Portobello Mushroom Sauce
Cranberry, Apple and Walnut Stuffed Chicken with Sherry Sage Sauce
Décor
Budget minded is not a replacement for elegance and uniqueness. Meghan and Matt choose a nostalgic and simple approach to their decor – the results were tremendous. Check out these pictures!

Set up
Event flow is important and each event space offers distinctive challenges. Matt and Megan held their wedding reception in a historic Watertown church reception hall. With all the charm of an early 20th century church, our wedding planner’s challenge was to incorporate a cocktail hour in the same space as the seated dinner. Our solution: bring guests to the mezzanine level of the theater for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Guests were able to look down on the beautiful dinner tables that awaited them. A web of mini twinkle lights was added above the guest tables to give a soft romantic glow to the space.

It was such a pleasure to participate in this special day! Congratulations to Broadway Gourmet’s first couple of 2012!
