Special Boston Catered Reception to benefit The Home for Little Wanderers
A Chance In The World: An Orphan Boy, A Hidden Past, and How He Found A Place Called Home". A wonderful evening to support The Home for Little Wanderers.

January 19th, 2012 Steve Pemberton’s memoir, A Chance in The World, is an enlightening and inspiring story of survival against all odds. It will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the lives of children everywhere. We, at Broadway Gourmet, were honored when asked to participate in tonight’s book signing at WCVB-TV Ch 5.

As our team discussed the level of support we should offer, one excerpt from the book stood out loud and clear - “There are 500,000 homeless children in this country. These children have done nothing wrong. They committed no crime. Their only crime is to have been born poor in a rich nation… all children belong to somebody.” Our hope is that, as reception sponsors of this magical event, we can play a small part in supporting The Home for Little Wanderers. If The Home is able to impact the life of just one child in a meaningful way, each of us will have made a difference.

It was an emotional evening filled with fun and laughter, tears of sadness and joy and the realization of endless possibilities. The food, beverage and design were creatively planned and executed by Director of Events, Ken Barrett, and Executive Chef Ben Jackson, and the service, as always, was spectacular. Thanks to the Broadway Gourmet Team, and to all who played a role in producing this inspirational event!
We wish all the best to the Pemberton family and to The Home for Little Wanderers.
