A Scientific Catered Event

Broadway Gourmet, Boston’s Premier Event Caterer, had the pleasure to produce a memorable ribbon cutting ceremony this week at MIT.   Our Event Planners' challenge was to creatively present different food stations throughout a contemporary loft space.  Our client wanted the event design to represent the various areas of work their scientists were studying.  The end result was fabulous!  We took the food presentation beyond the typical catered buffet to an interactive (and scientific) experience for the guests.

The seasonal soup station became a chemist’s laboratory, complete with test tubes for soup shooters, bubbling beakers of delicious homemade soup, and even an attendant dressed in an authentic lab coat.

Crudite and Couscous Salads were displayed on a towering vertical garden wall for guests to enjoy not only with their taste buds, but with their eyes!

Broadway Gourmet’s famous Arancini appetizer was reinvented with a fresh pea puree for guests to inject as our servers passed.

Even the dessert station was included in the fun. Crème Brulee was torched in petri dishes for that added detail.

But don’t take our word for it.  After the event our client said, “There is no doubt you blew people's minds with your presentations, service and outstanding food from the beginning to the end of the night … The displays, colors, floral arrangement and flow was perfect for the kind of event I wanted, and I very much appreciate it.”
